Staré Mesto, Baratislava, district Bratislava, SR

The project approaches a renovation of an apartment in a brick residential house, Holleho Street, Bratislava Slovakia. The concept embraces an idea to remodel a 2-room apartment into a 3-room apartment with an optimal sunlight comfort in each room. The project is tailored for a young individual who wants to share the apartment with the tenant. In the project, we relocated and enlarged the bathroom at the expense of a former bedroom. We designed the entrance to the bathroom as little visible as possible. At the same time, we emphasize the load-bearing wall by tiling, which defines the apartment – the living room, the bathroom and the hallway. The apartment is divided into two areas – day and night area. A mirror is set in the day area, supproting and carrrying light and silmultaneously creating an illusion of larger space. The furniture is tailored for the individual, complemented by designer pieces. For optimal thermal and technical conditions in the interior, we designed air-conditioning with a central unit for the apartment.
